Erin Napier's Just Posted the Most Emotional Instagram About Her Daughter
Every mama knows how hard it can be to send her child off to their first day of school. Erin Napier proved that even celebrities sometimes have a hard time letting go of their little ones. The Home Town star has two children with husband Ben Napier, Helen (4) and Mae (14 months). This year, Helen started school for the very first time, attending pre-school in the family's hometown of Laurel, Mississippi.
Helen took on this new challenge with freshly painted fingernails, braided hair, dad's handkerchief sprayed with mom's perfume, and a stuffed bear. Like any mom of young children, Erin just had to share this milestone with her Instagram followers.
Keeping it real, Erin, 36, captioned her post: "She took one of Ben's hankies and sprayed my perfume on it in case she needed us and Old Bear held her hand when we had to let go of it. Being a parent is hard, awful, bliss. ❤️" Of course, many parents can relate to Erin's mixed emotions on this monumental occasion, especially considering this is the couple's eldest child.
Fans rushed to the comments to provide words of encouragement for the HGTV star and sweet Helen. "Oh my gracious!! This is so sweet and yes - all the feelings...Helen will do great! ❤️" one fan wrote. Others said: "Sweet girl! I Hope she has a great school year!" and "Such a big girl!! Erin wasn't the only one feeling emotional on Helen's first day of school. Ben shared her sentiments, and prepped Helen for school with a hearty breakfast.
Ben captioned his post: “Helen requested bacon, bagels, and croissants for the first day of school. so, i got her bagels and croissants from NYC, and bacon from Keens. Then i cried more than anyone taking her to school.”
Before we know it, baby Mae will be starting school behind big sister. Where does the time go?
