Vampires? Coming to your TV screen? It's more likely than you'd think. Get ready to be hypnotized by a supernatural immortal force right in the comfort of your own home.

The beloved gothic tale, Interview With the Vampire—which spans centuries of blood, murder, and downright obsession—has finally been adapted into a television series. Although the 1994 movie starring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise introduced the public to the heart-wrenching tale of two star-crossed vampires, many diehard fans of the Anne Rice series were left hungry for more. AMC's adaptation has been highly anticipated by legions of Rice fans and horror buffs alike, and has been renewed for a second season already.

It doesn't shy away from the horror and the inherent romance of the story, either. Expect to see buckets of blood spilled, violent vampire hunts, and the passionate, yet toxic love that blossoms between two damned souls of Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid). The two are locked in a doomed romance that lasts centuries, tearing both them and everyone in their way apart. It may as well be the homoerotic, horror-gothic Romeo and Juliet.

When Does Interview With the Vampire Premiere?

Interview With the Vampire's debut episode will air on Sunday, October 2nd, at 10 p.m. EST on AMC. The seven-episode first season will premiere weekly at the same time slot, throughout October and November. You can find Interview With the Vampire on AMC and streaming on AMC+. The episodes will span an hour, and the blood-soaked finale is set to air on November 13.

What is Interview With the Vampire About?

The AMC adaptation promises some changes to the Anne Rice novel. The story begins in the present day in the city of Dubai, where Louis de Pointe du Lac recounts his life as a vampire to journalist Daniel Molloy. Louis's life began as a Black man running a lucrative brothel in the red light district of Storyville in New Orleans in 1910. His life is beset by tragedy and he endures the daily humiliation and oppression of a racist society. Enter Lestat de Lioncourt, a French man, who is immediately captivated by Louis, and enamored by the music and rich culture of New Orleans. Louis learns of Lestat's true killing nature and so begins an ill-fated romance that's lush with drama, mayhem, and depraved love. Enticed yet? No?
