Engaged! Karlie Kloss said 'yes a million times over' to Joshua Kushner's proposal

Karlie Kloss will soon be modeling a wedding dress.

The 25-year-old supermodel confirmed on social media Tuesday that she is engaged to her boyfriend of six years, Joshua Kushner, 33, who’s the businessman brother of Jared Kushner and the brother-in-law of Ivanka Trump. Kloss shared a photo in which she was kissing Kushner on the cheek and wrote, “I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over,” along with an engagement ring emoji.

The confirmation followed a report from People magazine that the pair had secretly become engaged a few weeks ago during a romantic getaway in upstate New York. A source told the mag: “They’re both overjoyed and happily celebrating. Their hearts are full, and they’re excited to build their future together.”

The couple have been quiet about their romance, generally avoiding public appearances together and walking red carpets hand-in-hand (although they did pose together at the Met Gala in May). In June, Kloss — who is the co-founder of Kode With Klossy, a free coding camp for girls, and is on Oath’s Board of Advisors (Yahoo is a brand within Oath, Verizon’s media division) — let down her guard down during an interview with W. “I’m incredibly busy, but I love what I do, and my boyfriend’s incredibly busy, but he loves what he does too,” she told the magazine. “I think it’s important to make time to be with your loved ones — to work hard, play hard. That’s the way I live my life.” Asked about her new willingness to mention him in interviews, she replied, “I don’t think there’s been a change. It’s more just sharing more parts of my life, and he’s a big part of it.”

The wedding could turn out to be a star-studded event. Of course, Jared and Ivanka are expected to be there. (Joshua, a two-time Harvard grad and the co-founder of Oscar Health, once said the president’s daughter and adviser is more like a sister than a sister-in-law to him.) But it remains to be seen whether her one-time BFF Taylor Swift will be in attendance. There has been speculation that they had a falling-out, though Kloss told the New York Times in March that they still speak “frequently.”
