Emmy Viewers Tried to Access the After-Party Using Jimmy Kimmel’s Zoom ID
Fans tried to crash the 2020 Emmys Zoom after-party using Jimmy Kimmel’s Zoom ID.
Keep scrolling for a truly bleak look at said party!
Despite the 2020 Emmy Awards being fully virtual this year, there was, in fact, an after-party. On Zoom. Which sounds about as fun as those virtual Friday “happy hours” your boss keeps making you go to.
Jimmy Kimmel announced the “sad” after-party before the show wrapped up and mentioned the Zoom meeting ID 4599567155—which required an additional password to enter:

@jimmykimmel thanks for the Zoom after party ID (4599567155). You did however forget to give me the room passcode. I’ll wait........ #Emmys

The good news: Some smart people figured out the password. The bad news: Tragically, the party hit its max after 200 users and appeared to have basically consisted of several strangers staring at each other in awkward silence.
