Emma Roberts Just Shared the First Picture of Her and Garrett Hedlund’s Son, Rhodes
Emma Roberts just shared the first photo of her son to her Instagram.
As a treat, Emma also shared his full name—Rhodes Robert Hedlund.
Emma Roberts is officially a mom now, and no surprises here—she is absolutely loving it. After Emma gave birth in late December, an Us Weekly source confirmed at the beginning of this month that “both parents are thrilled and mother and baby are doing well.” Things are going so well, in fact, that Emma treated her 15.5 million Instagram followers to the first look at her and Garrett Hedlund’s son!
The picture shows Emma looking stunning in a mandarin-colored dress and matching slides while gazing lovingly into the eyes of her baby. “Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right ☀️ Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund 🧡,” she wrote, revealing his full name.
Emma spilled all the deets about her pregnancy with Cosmopolitan for the Decembuary cover and became the first-ever pregnant Cosmo cover star. In the corresponding interview, she said:
“It sounds cheesy, but the moment that I stopped thinking about it, we got pregnant. But even then, I didn’t want to get my hopes up. Things can go wrong when you’re pregnant. That’s something you don’t see on Instagram. So I kept it to myself, my family, and my partner, not wanting to make grand plans if it wasn’t going to work out. This pregnancy made me realize that the only plan you can have is that there is no plan.”
Emma also called her pregnancy a “beautiful” thing, adding, “You’re in charge of creating your child’s world. I take that so seriously. Even just putting his nursery together, that’s the first environment he’s going to be in…sometimes it’s scary, though, because I’m responsible for this child’s world and memories, and I want to make it all wonderful.”
