Emma Roberts Debuted a New Hairdo, and It's Giving Us Major Scream Queen Vibes

Is Chanel Oberlin back?

When it comes to style, Emma Roberts always hits the nail on the head. Whether perfectly pulling off leopard, bringing sustainability to the Oscars red carpet, or getting ready to slay the Met Gala, Emma has proven she can pull off practically any style or beauty look time and time again— and her latest hairdo is no exception.

On Saturday, November 16, Emma posted a photo to her Instagram debuting her brand new hairstyle and we're completely obsessed with it — gone are the gorgeous brown locks and back is the blonde.

Emma's cut and color change are giving us some serious Chanel Oberlin vibes, which could be more than a coincide since Scream Queens' creator, Ryan Murphy just hinted the show could come back for a third season soon. Could there be a hidden message in Emma's hair?

While we might not know if the new hair has an ulterior motive — yet — we do know exactly how the style was created. Emma's honeydew look is the work of hairstylist Nikki Lee at Nine Zero One. Nikki herself shared a snap of Emma's new 'do on her Instagram, detailing how she successfully mastered. In her post, Nikki reveals she used the brand Joico for her five-step formula that took Emma back to blonde in just a day.

She kicked off the process decolorizing Emma's hair using the brand's Color Intensity Eraser with a 10-volume developer, which "lifted to a light warm brown in 15 mins." Nikki then moved on to highlights and in-between foils. "This helped tone out some of the brassiness," the hairstylist wrote. She continued the process with a root tap and all-over toner.

Nikki's last step was to strengthen Emma's new blonde hair. "Lastly I did the Incommon Crystal Cashmere treatment to nourish and strengthen her hair," she wrote, adding, "I cannot do any color correcting work without using this treatment. It’s dreamy!" Add in some Great Lengths hair extensions and the process is finally complete!

Nikki's five-step formula clearly was worth it as fans and celebs the likes of Keke Plamer and Busy Phillips flooded Emma's Instagram with love for her new hair. Clearly, the new look is a smash. Now it's time to confirm that you're returning to Scream Queens, Emma.
