It doesn’t take much to make Emily Ratajkowski look good. The model-turned-entrepreneur has spent her summer in barely-there bikinis and slip dresses aplenty, but her personal style is about more than just sex appeal. Out and about in New York this morning, Ratajkowski showed off a fresh way to wear the classic button down, turning an oversized white shirt into a dress with the simple addition of a tortoise shell patterned resin belt by London label, Black & Brown.

While many style stars have used this inventive trick to add versatility to their wardrobes, Ratajkowski adapted the look to reflect her current obsessions. The addition of a Hayward python mini-shopper, Linda Farrow cat-eye sunglasses, and a pair of Ami's Lucky 9 running sneakers in white kept things interesting, while also incorporating several trends the star has been loving all season.

The idea of a men's shirt as an all-purpose item has even trickled into Ratajkowski’s fashion range Inamorata. After borrowing several from her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard to use as cover ups, she cut out the middleman and introduced a range of bikinis styled with matching with button downs. Whether or not her latest look is hiding one of her famous swimsuits remains to be seen, but it managed to keep things cool—even as temperatures pushed into the 90s.
