ICONIC.

Sir Elton John and ABBA's Benny Andersson are legends in their own right, but the two just collaborated for another iconic moment on screens across the globe.

Elton John and Andersson took to TikTok to show off their transitions and to give the people what they so desperately wanted; a real-life mash-up of their respective classic hits—ABBA's Chiquitita and Elton John's Bennie and the Jets.

"Heard that ’Chiquitita’ was trending again…with @Elton John!" ABBA captioned the video.

"Heard about this little mashup of Bennie and the Jets with @ABBA and had to get involved," wrote the British artist, who also shared the video on his account.

What the Rocket Man, Tiny Dancer, and Don't Go Breaking My Heart singer was referencing is a fan-made mash-up of the two songs that, in recent months, has gained widespread popularity across the app.

The original mash-up was posted on June 23 by TikTok user reymifasol who shared the now viral "Benny and Chiquitita" audio in a screen-recorded .mp3 video that featured an overlay of text which read: "so...what if benny and the jets were into ABBA?"

"please for all your gorgeous summer transitions please and thanks," the user captioned it.

Over the past six weeks, the audio has been used in over 55,000 videos across the globe. And for the most part, video creators tap into the theme of this trend and utilize the song's transition as their cue to go from drab to fab or show off their summer excitement.

Take this user as an example who shared a montage of the moments leading up to and the moments directly after her engagement.

"This sounds was too perfect not to use for these pics," she wrote.

Some pretty big names have showed the tune some love, too.

A popular YouTuber with over seven million TikTok followers used the audio to narrate a very relatable experience for soon-to-be-mothers in the last trimester.

Even Wimbledon got in on the fun and used the audio to celebrate tennis star Emma Raducanu's recent win.

And now with the two songwriters officially backing the mash-up, who's to say TikTok can't influence them to take the song to the studio?
