Elliot Page and Mae Martin Appear to Make Their Red-Carpet Couple Debut

It looks like Elliot Page and Mae Martin are more than friends.

On November 5, the Umbrella Academy star and the creator of Netflix’s Feel Good suited up in Gucci for the LACMA Art +Film Gala in Los Angeles. Page looked dapper as ever in a double-breasted black suit and bow tie, while Martin wore a navy and black suit, opting to go tieless and leaving their white oxford unbuttoned at the collar.

Both Elliot Page and Mae Martin posted about their evening on Instagram, with the comedian referring to Page as “My King” and ending their post with “#t4t.” For those unfamiliar with the term, it stands for “trans for trans” and typically refers to a transgender person who prefers to date other trans people. Martin came out as nonbinary in 2021, while Page came out as a trans man in 2020.

“My King @elliotpage took me out,” Martin captioned a bathroom selfie, along with several other photos and videos from the evening—including a performance by Elton John. “Thank you @Gucci for the suit and @lacma for the stunning night."

On November 7, Page shared his own post about the evening, writing, “thank you @gucci for having me and @hooraymae at @lacma’s Art+Film Gala.” Martin replied to Page’s post with another purple heart emoji.

This is not the first time Page has posted about Martin on his grid. In July 2021 he shared a selfie of the pair out to drinks with the caption, “Chilling with this heartthrob 😍.” However, if Page and Martin are dating, it seems to be a recent development. After separating from Emma Portner after three years of marriage in January 2021, Page joined his “first dating app ever” this July with the help of Umbrella Academy costar Ritu Arya.

Whether or not this was an official couple debut, these two clearly share something special—and I’m not just talking about their matching coffee mug tattoos. Maege shippers unite.
