Ellen DeGeneres Says She Drank 3 'Weed Drinks' Last Month Before Driving Portia de Rossi To The Hospital

April 20 (aka 4/20) may have been yesterday, but Ellen DeGeneres had her stoner experience almost a month early. Stopping by Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday, the 63-year-old host shared how she was actually high the night she had to rush her wife Portia de Rossi to the hospital.

Though early on in the sit-down she claimed she doesn't like weed because she "hates the way it feels," that didn't stop her from crushing THC- and CBD-infused Cann drinks (gifted to her by none other than Chelsea Handler) last month. She told Jimmy she began drinking them after Portia—who wasn't feeling well that night—had gone to bed: "I drank one and I didn't feel anything, so I drank three," she said: "I took two melatonin sleep pills."

Before drifting off to sleep, Ellen noticed Portia—who was no longer in bed—was on the ground on all fours in desperate pain. Though Portia told her she was OK, Ellen knew something wasn't right and decided to immediately rush her to the hospital. Surprised at her confession, Jimmy asked if Ellen was the one to do the driving.

"I did. I kicked in, my adrenaline, because I had to rush her there," she confessed. "So it's probably not safe. I shouldn't be saying any of this."

Ellen confirmed that Portia underwent an emergency appendectomy but is indeed feeling much better since last month's scare. While it may be have been a scary encounter while it was happening, you've got to admit, it definitely makes for a funny story now that it's over.
