So is Elle King married or a single lady once more? After getting engaged last February to fiancé Andrew "Fergie" Ferguson, the "Ex's & Oh's" singer was scheduled to say "I do" this weekend. But it looks like she ditched the dress and tossed the bouquet in favor of some rock 'n' roll. Yep, you read that right....
In February 2016, King's then-boyfriend popped the question in ultraromantic fashion at a San Francisco landmark. "Fergie asked me to marry him on a sailboat under the Golden Gate Bridge," the singer captioned a social-media snapshot of the epic moment that featuring the iconic bridge gleaming in the background. "I said yes," she wrote. Meanwhile, the groom also took to the 'Gram to share the nuptial news, posting a similar proposal photo. "I asked this girl to marry me today underneath the golden great bridge," he captioned the pic. "Guess what? She said yes. @elleking." See all the photos here.
Since then, King has been busy with the big-day details. She even appeared on an episode of TLC's Say Yes to the Dress last month, where she found her dream wedding dress. However, it doesn't look like she ever got to wear it.
According to People, despite this being King's wedding weekend, she took to Instagram to share a video of the Eagles of Death Metal concert in Seattle on Saturday night. "Skipped out on my wedding," singer captioned the video. "I married Rock & Roll instead so I hopped on tour with EAGLES OF F—ING DEATH METAL." Umm...what?!
Uh, what's the deal? Did King and her almost-hubby break up and call off their big day? Or did the Grammy nominee actually say "I do" and just ditch all the pomp and circumstance in favor of something much cooler? After all, King did previously mention that she wanted her nuptials to have a "carnival–rock and roll circus" theme.
But it's worth noting that King also snapped a photo of herself in a blue wig alongside a pal, no veil—or fiancé—in sight. "Just a couple'a gals on a Rock & Roll tour," she captioned the snapshot. Hmm...
So now we're waiting to hear if King is a rock 'n' roll runaway bride or if she just impulsively moved her reception to a concert stadium—something we'd totally expect from this wild child!
Here's hoping she doesn't have anymore "Ex's & Oh's" to sing about.
