Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s skincare routine has been a hot button issue since the first Democratic debates last summer. Just look at this woman’s skin. What does she know that we don’t?

Well, Ann Coulter, Elizabeth Warren’s dirty little skincare secret is out. Senator Warren has a decidedly French, cool girl skincare routine: she’s low-maintenance and effortless. And she attributes that je ne sais quoi to a tried-and-true drugstore product.

Pond’s Moisturizer,” Warren revealed in an interview with Cosmo. “Every morning, every night. And I never wash my face.”

Yes, really. And there’s a reason this drugstore staple has such staying power. The super hydrating moisturizer is hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin, plus it’s touted to not clog pores. It’s adored by fans, one of whom says: “Yes, I’ve been using this same product under my makeup for almost 20 years. I apply it and allow it to dry a few minutes before applying. I’m over 50 and still get compliments about my skin.” A 60-year-old reviewer says it leaves her skin with a “soft, plump, dewy look.

Warren credits her low-key skincare regimen to a “much older” cousin named Tootsie.

“Years ago, I was, I guess probably somewhere in my 20s, and we’re at a big family reunion. And Tootsie was beautiful. I looked over at her, and I said, ‘Toots, how do you have such gorgeous skin?’ She said, ‘Pond’s Moisturizer every morning, every night, and never wash your face.’ So from Tootsie to me to you,” says Warren.

Hey, when you know what works, why switch things up? Regardless of your politics, we all know good skin when we see it, and Elizabeth Warren is doing something right.
