Eerie Footage Shows Line of Dead Cows After Texas Lightning Storm

When Bobby Woody, a rancher in northeast Texas, went to check on his cattle “a few days” after a late August storm, he made a startling discovery. Fifteen cows and eight calves were killed, with most found in a line next to a fence.

Woody said he made the discovery on his farm outside Annona on August 28. His cattle were next to a fence that was struck by lightning, Woody told Storyful. “Each cow had burns on its stomach, showing how strong the voltage was,” he said.

On Facebook, Woody wrote that they believed that “when the lightning hit, it had such strong voltage, it basically jolted one cow in the middle of the field.”
