If you live in or around eastern Pennsylvania, mark your calendars for May 26th and 27th and plan to spend part of the weekend riding or cheering at the Easton Twilight Crit and surrounding festivities. Women’s team LA Sweat will be there in full force, and in addition to racing, they’ll be hosting an open community ride on Friday, the 26th, followed by a Q&A session at the Easton Public Market in the heart of downtown. Get to know the women on the team, get some valuable advice from them, and then make sure you’re around on Saturday, May 27th, to watch the racing action!

LA Swea’'s community ride is happening for the second year in a row in partnership with the Easton Twilight Criterium and Tour of Somerville. It will be a 90 min no-drop ride (open to all) and post-ride Q&A (for WTF riders)—part of LA Sweat’s mission to empower women to race and have fun.

“LA Sweat is more than excited to be returning for the Easton Twilight Crit,” says Kelli Samuelson, the founder of LA Sweat. “In 2022, we were welcomed with open arms and immediately felt like we had been lifelong friends with the community in Easton. Aside from the top-level racing and race course, the Easton community holds a special place in our hearts and we can’t wait to be back.”

Easton as a community has been supportive of women’s racing, and in addition to ensuring that the men’s and women’s categories are evenly represented on race day, a local sponsor recently stepped up to give girls and women an incredible 50 percent off of race registration. (Find out more here.)

The race is also the Pennsylvania State Criterium Championships, so in addition to plenty of pros from around the country, the state’s best will be on the men’s, women’s and juniors’ start lines. Racing kicks off at 2:55 PM on Saturday afternoon with the women’s 3/4 field. The elite women race at 7PM on Saturday night, and the elite men go off at 8:30PM.
