Eastern Kentucky Faces Excessive Rain Risk

Heavy rain fell in Kentucky on Tuesday, July 18, into Wednesday, July 19, causing life-threatening flash flooding in parts of the state.

Garrett Rigsby said he took this video on Tuesday from Flatwoods in Greenup County.

The National Weather Service (NWS) had issued a special weather statement for Greenup, advising the area could see 50 mph wind gusts and half-inch hail on Tuesday afternoon.
