ANDY BEHRENS: If you were a responsible fantasy manager with Ezekiel Elliott on a roster, you didn't need to scramble on Sunday morning to add Tony Pollard when news broke that Zeke was going to be inactive with that calf injury. Pollard had a day.
I think we all could have guessed that he would have a huge day against San Francisco with a full workload, and it was a full workload. He gained over 130 total yards, scored a couple of touchdowns.
One was of the short yardage variety. One was a long, late touchdown that kind of sealed the game. Great effort for Pollard. Obviously, if Zeke is limited or can't go in week 16, Pollard again going to be a strong play.
He'd face Philadelphia, and that is certainly not a stay away match-up. Another backfield situation we need to monitor, Salvon Ahmed of the Miami Dolphins had himself a day, went over 100 yards on the ground against New England. He would get a prime match-up next week against the Vegas writers if Myles Gaskin can't return from the COVID list. Keep him in your fantasy plans as well.
