'DWTS' Fans, Tom Bergeron Just Broke His Instagram Silence About Julianne Hough’s Host News

It's been a few weeks since Dancing With the Stars announced a major shakeup with its hosts, and fans may have missed Tom Bergeron voicing his thoughts about it.

On March 20, the hit Disney+ series announced that Julianne Hough would replace Tyra Banks as co-host alongside Alfonso Ribeiro for season 32. Fast forward, in a new post uploaded to Instagram, Tom set the record straight on how he feels about the news. Posting a photo collage of Alfonso, Julianne and her brother/fellow DWTS judge Derek Hough, he shared how excited he was to see the role he originated on the show go in a new direction.

"Glad the show’s in good hands," he wrote on April 3. "Their feet ain’t bad, either 🪩😉👍🏼."

Shortly after the America's Funniest Home Videos alum posted the message, Julianne caught wind of the public support Tom gave her on social media. As a result, she responded with her own heartfelt note.

"These feet could never fill your shoes, but I’ll bring my own and hope I do you proud!" she replied back. "I absolutely learned from the best! I completely and utterly adore you @tombergeron ❤️❤️❤️."

When fans realized Tom and Julianne interacted about her newest role on Dancing With the Stars, it sparked emotional reactions. They quickly took to the comments section to share how much they loved seeing the outpour of love he had for her.

"I agree. I will start watching again 💃🕺," one person wrote on Instagram. "We fans miss you terribly, but I think Julianne and Alfonso will be wonderful co-hosts!" a different user wrote. "Wish it [were] you, @tombergeron, but happy to have @juleshough!" another follower added.

While Tom continues to infer his plans of not returning to Dancing With the Stars, it's nice to see him happy about the change. This also answers his previous comments about the future of the dancing competition, as he replied to a fan wondering about it.

"Thanks! It’ll be interesting to see what happens with the show," he responded to a comment on his March 17 Instagram post. "Disney+ was hemorrhaging $$ under [former CEO Bob] Chapek and the returning Bob Iger has pledged to cut costs. Add to that viewing #'s for DWTS were never released (unlike, say, for The Mandalorian) which also doesn’t necessarily bode well. I wish them well, [though] 💃🏼🕺🏻🪩."
