Dancing With the Stars recently crowned its season 31 winner, but longtime fans are still hoping to see certain familiar faces back on their screens. Luckily, former host Tom Bergeron understood the request.

In a new social media post, the America's Funniest Home Videos alum shared a quick look at his latest TV project. On November 22, the former Dancing With the Stars host posted a promotional poster for the upcoming NBC game show The Wheel (out December 19) to reveal that he's going to be a contestant.

"Had a great time taping 'The Wheel,'” he wrote on Instagram on November 22. "The host, Michael McIntyre, is a hoot. My episode airs the eve of Christmas Eve (yup, December 23rd 🤔) on @nbc."

Although it's been more than two years since Tom exited Dancing With the Stars as co-host, it seems like folks haven't forgotten about him. Without skipping a beat, many immediately took to the comments section to celebrate his return to TV.

"Great! I'll be tuning in to see how you do!" one person wrote on Instagram. "Looking forward for your appearance next month! 🤩," another noted. "So fun!" a different fan said.

What's more, some even seized the opportunity to hear more about his other projects currently in the works. "Any word yet on your Tic Tac Dough reboot, @tombergeron?" a follower asked, referencing his September 2021 announcement about a reboot of the classic 1950s game show.

While not much is known regarding Tom's new hosting gig, we do have some details about the show he's about to guest star on. Based on the British game show of the same name, Deadline shared that each episode "follows [six] celebrity guests spinning, advising and supporting contestants battling it out for a chance to win over [$100,000]."

Tom will be among a number of contestants making appearances this season, including MSNBC journalist Steve Kornacki, This Is Us star Chrissy Metz, Wednesday actress Christina Ricci and The Real alum Loni Love.
