Charlotte center Dwight Howard dropped 32 points and 30 rebounds on Wednesday night in the Hornets’ 111-105 win over the Brooklyn Nets, becoming the first to do so in the NBA since Moses Malone in 1982.
Howard, though, won’t get a chance to follow that performance up on Thursday night.
Howard has been suspended one game without pay after picking up his 16th technical foul of the regular season, which he did with 10:48 left in the third quarter on Wednesday night.
Per NBA rules, a player or coach “is automatically suspended without pay for one game once he receives his 16th technical foul.” If Howard picks up two more fouls in the regular season, he will be suspended for an additional game.
