Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson reveals his pride daughter Simone has joined WWE
WWE legend and actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has spoken of his pride that his daughter has followed in his footsteps by signing up to the world’s most famous wrestling organisation.
18-year-old Simone Johnson announced she had signed to the WWE back in February and her famous dad has said the fact she is following in his footsteps “blows my mind”.
Talking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Johnson was in full proud dad mode.

He said: “She’s signed her contract with WWE. It blows my mind. First of all, I mean, what an honour. My daughter wants to follow in my footsteps.
“But more importantly … follow in my footsteps sounds cliche, but she actually wants a career and to blaze her own path, which is just so important.
“She wound up being the youngest signee in the history of the company at 16. By the way, she’s 18 now but at 16 she was working her a** off quietly, under the radar, in the ring, getting thrown around and you know … all the bumps and bruises that go with pro wrestling.
“She hung in there, and I’m very, very proud of her.”
In terms of wrestling, Ms Johnson could not come from better stock. As well as her dad, grandad Rocky Johnson, who died earlier this year, was a WWE star from the 1970s and her great-grandad, ‘High Chief’ Peter Maivia also competed in the organisation.

This mean she will be the WWE’s first ever first ever fourth generation wrestler.
Talking about signing up to the WWE back in February, Simone said “It means the world to me.
“To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle, but to carry on that legacy.”
