All About Duke Nicholson, the Actor Bella Hadid Was Rumored to Be Dating

Page Six reports that Bella Hadid has a new boyfriend—and he's the grandson of a Hollywood legend. According to the outlet, Bella has been quietly dating Duke Nicholson, Jack Nicholson's grandchild. The two have not posted about the rumored relationship on their social media accounts at all yet—because, according to E!, it's not happening.

Bella's rep spoke to E! about Page Six's report, saying it's false. Bella is single.

Duke, 21, is already an accomplished actor. Here's what you need to know about him and what Page Six claimed about reported romance with Bella.

Duke already has two big film credits under his belt.

The Hollywood Reporter described Duke as an "in-demand" actor in its December 2019 feature on him. And Duke has already gotten some big credits on his resume: He played Danny/Tony in Jordan Peele's Us and will be appearing alongside Armie Hammer, Gary Oldman, and Michelle Rodriguez in Nicholas Jarecki's upcoming film Dreamland.

Duke grew up in Los Angeles and took a 'gradual' interest in acting.

In a December 2019 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Duke spoke about how his interest in performing started. "It wasn't a big moment, like, 'I want to be an actor,' " he said. "It was just a gradual thing." He and his grandfather Jack "don't talk about acting much," but rather sports. His mother, Jennifer Nicholson, is a fashion designer while his dad is retired pro surfer Mark Norfleet.

He initially wanted to direct, adding: "I made one short [in high school at Wildwood] called The Happy Fisherman, but I never show it to anyone really. It was about a fisherman who gets his dick bit by a fish."

Duke appeared on the cover of Lana Del Rey's album Norman Fucking Rockwell.

Duke explained how he got tapped to pose alongside Del Rey in his THR interview. It was just a phone call from a pal: "Lana is a friend of mine and she called me and said, 'Hey, we're doing the album cover tomorrow. You want to be on it?'" he recalled, adding that he didn't know why she wanted him to pose with her. "I just went with it. I don't try to analyze things too much."

Duke has done some modeling, notably posing for Louis Vuitton.

Bella and Duke have both worked with designer Virgil Abloh—albeit for different lines. Duke modeled for Louis Vuitton in May 2019.

Bella, meanwhile, has walked Abloh's Off-White fashion show and attended his Louis Vuitton shows in the past. The two are quite friendly, and Abloh spoke about their relationship—and why he lets Bella choose what looks she wears in his shows—to Vogue in May 2019.

“Part of what makes a great show is how Bella feels when she walks on the runway," he said. "She has an uncanny, powerful presence. And what I think is important is not her looks—it’s her personality, her brain, that makes her unique and compelling. So how can I capture that? Make her a part of the process. Page Six claimed Bella and Duke have been dating for more than a month. Bella's rep shut that down.

Multiple sources told Page Six that the two were together in October 2020. One insider said that Duke and Bella have been together "since at least late last month," when Duke saw Bella on a trip to New York, where Bella lives.

Duke and Bella, that source said, went on their own trip for her birthday before she traveled with her friends for her tropical birthday vacation. Duke doesn't have social media, while Bella hasn't posted about him on hers. Where they went on their trip wasn't specified in Page Six's report.

Hours after Page Six's report was picked up across media outlets, Bella's rep spoke to E!, clarifying Bella isn't actually dating Duke. Bella is single, according to the rep, and the Page Six report is wrong.
