Dua Lipa Puts Her Sexy Spin on the Oversized Suit Trend

Dua Lipa knows how to take a celeb-loved trend and make it her own.

The pop star attended Variety's 2022 Hitmakers Brunch at City Market Social House in Downtown LA yesterday, where she wore her spin on the oversized suit trend. For the event, Lipa wore a look from The Attico's resort 2023 collection, wearing the slouchy separates with no top underneath.

In addition to the gray-and-white pinstriped suit, the "Levitating" singer wore black round-toe shoes, black rectangular sunglasses, and an array of Rainbow K jewelry, including a silver lock pendant necklace and an oversized chain with two-tone gold and silver links. She also wore her hair in loose waves, trailing over one shoulder.

The Future Nostalgia singer was honored as the outlet's Hitmaker of the Year, alongside her "Cold Heart" collaborator Elton John. Last month, she joined the music legend for his final North American concert at Dodger Stadium. Ahead of the show, Lipa made a glamorous arrival in a re-creation of the one-shouldered evening gown originally worn by Nicole Kidman for Balenciaga's 2021 couture collection.

She also wore the house's signature jersey pantaleggings underneath the gown, which featured draped details and a dramatic long train. Her glamorous accessories included nearly shoulder-length gloves and diamond jewelry from Bulgari.

Lipa previously revealed last March that she has been working on her highly-anticipated third album, though she recently told Variety that "it's taken a complete turn as I’ve carried on working, and I really feel now that it’s starting to sound cohesive. So I’m going to keep writing in the early months of the new year and see where that takes me."

"The album is different — it’s still pop but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme," she continued. "If I told you the title, everything would make sense — but I think we’ll just have to wait."
