Do Cheap Nachos Taste Better When You’re Drunk?
Could the level of alcohol consumption increase the deliciousness of a plate of plain ol’ nachos? BuzzFeed puts the theory to the test in a game show style format it calls TasteTest Live.
“Even a s—y nacho is still a pretty good nacho,” says the host. “It’s sort of like sex in that regard.”
BuzzFeed has three completely sober eaters sample a batch of 7-Eleven nachos, which have been deemed the world’s “cheapest, most average nacho.” Contestants found the cheese “a little plastic-y,” and the chips unsatisfactory. But what happens if you add tequila?
The hosts then brings out three shots of tequila for the contestants, which they down with gusto, and has the group sample another batch of nachos after imbibing.
“I really like the chips now,” said one. They’re so cute.”
Apparently tequila has an affect on sight as well as taste.
