The Dropout’s Amanda Seyfried has opened up about Elizabeth Holmes’s 11-year prison sentence. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of The Crowded Room, Amanda spoke about Elizabeth’s children, saying, “Those kids, it sucks for them. It sucks that there’s two human beings that don’t have a mom for a really long time. Just weird. It sucks. It just sucks. It’s just really depressing.”

She previously told Good Morning America that “there’s two kids that are hanging in the balance here. As a parent—just as a mom. Life’s not fair, but in a lot of ways it’s fair. It’s fair for her, in particular.”

Holmes previously addressed Amanda (as well as other potential actors) playing her in an interview with the New York Times, saying, “They’re not playing me. They’re playing a character I created. I believed it would be how I would be good at business and taken seriously and not taken as a little girl or a girl who didn’t have good technical ideas. Maybe people picked up on that not being authentic, since it wasn’t.”

Per the Associated Press, Holmes will see out her sentence at a minimum-security prison in Texas—the same prison that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jennifer Shah is currently serving out her 6.5-year sentence in.
