As the owner of a beauty brand (Flower Beauty) and daytime talk show host, Drew Barrymore spends her fair share of time in the makeup chair. And she loves it. But she also relishes the feeling of a freshly cleansed face, for which she relies on a combo of products that never let her down: Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Eco Pads and Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water.

“After a long day loaded with makeup, there’s no better feeling than getting to take it all off,” Barrymore, a Garnier partner, recently told CNN Underscored. “This combo of micellar water and reusable cleansing pads is gentle but very effective.”

The cleansing pads come in packs of three and can be washed up to 1,000 times, making them ultra sustainable and eliminating the need for wasteful (and often irritating) makeup wipes. They’re also different from standard reusable cotton rounds in that they’re made of super soft and fluffy microfiber that feels pillowy on the skin.

“I am in love with these pads. I have two sets and use them to remove my makeup each night. They wash up well and get softer each time,” an Amazon reviewer writes. “The absorbency is nice because it doesn’t absorb all of the product and stop you from putting it on your skin,” another adds.

The pads are made to be used with Garnier’s micellar water, which is available in a variety of formulas catered to different skin types. Barrymore uses the pink-capped bottle for all skin types, and also loves the vitamin C-infused version. Using the brand’s micellar technology, the water works like a magnet to gently cleanse and remove makeup without leaving a greasy or oily residue behind. With the help of the cleansing pads, no harsh rubbing or pulling of the skin is necessary to reveal a clean canvas.

The water has over 49,000 Amazon reviews and a 4.7-star rating. Plus, you can get a huge bottle for under $10.

“I’ve been using this product for years and it leaves my face feeling clean without drying,” one shopper raves. Another says it’s “better than any makeup remover I have ever purchased.”

So we can take Barrymore’s word for how well the pair performs together. Shop her go-to vitamin C micellar water and more of her beauty favorites below.
