Drew Barrymore Opens Up About Dating Again and Adjusting to Not ‘Being Alone’

Drew Barrymore is getting candid about stepping back into the dating scene.

On a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the actress and talk show host chatted with The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg.

During their discussion, Barrymore shared with her guest that she is dating again. In case you didn’t know (or just need a refresher), the Charlie’s Angels alum was married to her ex-husband, Will Kopelman, for nearly four years before they filed for a divorce and called it quits in 2016.

When Barrymore candidly asked Goldberg if she is dating right now, the 50 First Dates actress quickly revealed that she has re-entered the dating world. The Scream star opened up about her current relationship status. “Because it had been so many years, I started to get a little worried, like I’m too good at being alone,” she said, according to People.

Barrymore has been very open about her views on intimacy and dating. Back in October, she practically shocked the internet (and some fans) when she shared that she hasn’t had sex in nearly six years following her split from her ex-husband.

Her comments on sex came after hearing actor Andrew Garfield went six months without sex to prepare for a role. She subsequently made a blog post where she spoke about sex further. “What’s wrong with me that six months doesn’t seem like a very long time?” she said at the time, according to her blog.

And she went on to say how her relationship with sex has changed over the years. “I’m not a person who needs sex and has to go out there and engage with people on that level,” Barrymore added. “I am someone who is deeply committed to fostering how young girls, my daughters, and myself as a woman are supposed to function in this world!”

Drew is entering a new dating chapter in her life and we love to see it.
