It's still 2020 which means anything can still happen and you're probably going to want to sit down for this piece of news regarding Drake Bell.

The former Nickelodeon and Drake & Josh star had fans freaking out on Twitter after one user pointed out that he changed his name from Drake Bell to Drake Campana (which means bell in Spanish) and seemed to be working with a lot of brands in Mexico.

"So ... apparently Drake Bell was more popular in Spanish speaking countries, so he moved to Mexico, changed his name to Drake Campana & now writes songs in Spanish & only posts in Spanish ... this must be a fever dream ... this is his actual IG," a Twitter user wrote.

Many fans also believe that the actor moved to Mexico, especially after he posted a picture of what seems to be a Mexican election ID on his Instagram page with his new name.

Of course, the ID could totally be fake along with a move to the country, but his new career there is definitely not. Along with performing in Mexico and taking up new sponsorships for brands, he is also releasing songs in Spanish including a cover of Juanes' "La Camisa Negra". He also took out a Spanglish track "Fuego Lento".

It looks like his plan is working, especially since his recent video got 22 million views on YouTube. He also hinted at the big move back in 2019 when he posted a meme of him possibly leaving the US for Mexico.

So yeah...looks like looks like 2020 can totally get weirder.
