• In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper extracts a large cyst filled with sebum.

• Cysts can form when the body produces too much sebum and it gets trapped.

Dr. Pimple Popper's videos aren't exactly known for their subtlety, and one of her latest Instagram installments is no exception. If you prefer, shall we say, juicy cyst pops, you're in luck: The short clip shows Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD, performing a basic cyst extraction.

After a few pokes with her tweezers and a cut or two with her scissors, she squeezes out the gooey white innards, known as sebum. (Sebum is an oily yellow substance that helps lubricate the body's skin and nails. When pores and follicles become clogged, however, larger cysts can form. In this case, the sebum that Dr. Pimple Popper extracts looks extra milky—which she indicates, noting that a combination of numbing medication and water has led to the slightly runnier consistency. Or as she puts it, "“We’ve got a little cyst here—it’s a little wetter here than usual because it’s mixed with water. It’s like mashed potatoes.”

If cyst pops just aren't you thing, however, fear not—the doctor's been very busy this weekend. For starters, you can also check out this video of Dr. Lee removing a huge blackhead from inside a man's ear, or scooping a massive lipoma out of a patient's head.
