  • In Dr. Pimple Popper's new Instagram video, she helps a patient with a giant dilated pore of winer.

  • She downplays the thrilling pimple pop in the caption and calls it, "just a nice squeeze to end the night."

  • Dr. Pimple Popper's fans see it for what it really is, "a pug" or a "cat" emerging from the skin.

Sometimes dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, introduces her new pops with a big hoopla. However, other times she quietly slides them into the feed and lets the pimples speak for themselves. In her latest Instagram video, the giant dilated pore of winer, or enormous blackhead, is quite capable and needs no introduction.

Dr. Pimple Popper shares in the caption: "Just a nice squeeze to end the night! #drpimplepopper #dpow #blackheads" Don't let the doc's chill caption deter you, this pop is all kinds of exciting.

Dr. Pimple Popper gets right to work squeezing, and the dilated pore of winer responds by emitting all the gunk contained under the skin.

One fan wrote, "Anyone else think that looked like a Pug when it popped out? 🤣🤣" At least one other Popaholic saw an animal emerge and responded, "ha ha..I saw a Siamese cat!"

That's not the scientific definition, not even close. In a previous DPOW pop, Dr. Pimple Popper cleared it all up and explained what causes a DPOW. She explained: "A dilated pore of winer is essentially a large, single open comedone, also known as a blackhead. Similar to a blackhead, dilated pores are completely benign. Dead skin cells at the surface of the skin get trapped and widen this pore, plugging up the opening. Using a comedone extractor to express this plug squeezes out the softened keratin/skin cells from the pore. Once the contents of the dilated pore are expressed, it is common for the pore to fill up with keratin again."

Kudos to Dr. Pimple Popper for another entertaining and educational pop.
