Dr. Pimple Popper Just 'Punched' Out A Huge Pilar Cyst On Her Patient's Neck
  • In Dr. Pimple Popper's new Instagram video, she knocks out a surprisingly large neck cyst.

  • This pimple has been growing and brewing on the back of her patient's neck for 18 months.

  • Dr. Pimple Popper uses her punch biopsy tool to create a giant hole and squeeze all the gunk out with her fingers.

For certain cysts, dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, opts to use a technique using a punch excision tool to get rid of tricky bumps. She's used it on an Olivia Rodrigo 'Deja Vu' cyst, a cyst hiding underneath a mole, and even on an eye cyst. (I know!) And in a new Instagram video, she's using the technique to remove a cyst that is on the back of the neck of one of her patients.

"Punching into Friday! 🀜🏻πŸ’₯#drpimplepopper #cyst," she captioned the video. FYI, this extraction is exactly what you need to get rolling on a Monday.

As she gets to work, Dr. Pimple Popper uses her punch excision tool that digs into the cyst to 'punch' a hole in it before it gets fully squeezed. Once it's 'punched', she uses her fingers to press on the cyst on both sides, and as she does it spews out a thick brown and yellow gunk.

Dr. Pimple Popper talks with her patient about how long she has had the cyst for. "You've had it for a year and a half...I can't believe those Popaholic friends didn't push on it for you!" says the surprised doc.

Once the gunk is pressed out, Dr. Pimple Popper grabs a pair of tweezers and scissors to get out the sac. "There's a little sac under there" says the derm, as she uses the tweezers to grab the sac. It's a lot bigger than expected, but she easily snips it out with her scissors. She also notes that her patient's cyst might actually be a pilar cyst based on its texture.

"It might be a pilar cyst because it's a little firmer," says Dr. Pimple Popper. That's exactly what it is. And, her Popaholics are loving the punched-out excision, especially the sac removal.

"The sac removal is my faaaavorite part," one commented. And another wrote, "
I love it when the whole sac comes out intact! You have perfected your technique for getting out those sacs! πŸ‘‰πŸΌπŸ’₯πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ"
