  • In Dr. Pimple Popper's new Youtube video, she helps a patient with a huge pimple on his chest.

  • The dermatologist thinks it's a lipoma due to the size and behavior.

  • Dr. Pimple Popper used her fingers to squeeze out all the gunk intact before the cyst "bomb" explodes.

Fans know dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, is multitalented. She can calm patients through scary procedures, pop anything that dares to grow on the skin, and so much more beyond her job description. In her latest Youtube video, she showcased some totally unexpected skills.

In it, Dr. Pimple Popper takes on a massive challenge in a chest cyst. Actually, she misdiagnosed the cyst as a lipoma initially. She explained the process in the caption: "'The Cyst Bomb’ is here! 👉🏼💣👈🏼This cyst was soo huge and mobile under the skin, I thought it must be a lipoma BUT I was wrong."

Dr. Pimple Popper continued with the unexpected extraction: "Call me Dr. Pimple Popper aka McGuyver! This cyst was like disarming a bomb... it was a juicy one! At first I was convinced it was a lipoma BUT it's actually a gigantic, thin wall epidermoid cyst. Stay til the end to see what's inside!

Dr. Pimple Popper dives in with lipoma extracting tactics, but soon switches to cyst gears. She squeezed ever so gently and trimmed around the lump until it was free. Incredibly, the whole cyst stayed intact thanks to her nimble fingers.

Cysts are truly fascinating, and Dr. Pimple Popper shared all the deets about them: "An epidermoid cyst is a non-cancerous growth commonly found on the skin of the face or neck, but can occur anywhere on the body. Just as its name suggests, these cysts occur as a result of epidermal cells, cells from the top layer of your skin a.k.a the epidermis, overgrow in a confined space. The buildup of these cells under the skin results in a “cheesy” consistency and often a pungent odor! Epidermoid cysts are typically harmless and have no symptoms, but people often seek removal due to the appearance of the bump or because the cyst has become inflamed or ruptured. If you have a ruptured cyst you may notice, sudden redness, pain, swelling, and heat around the area, all of which can lead to an abscess forming. Surgically removing the cyst can cure the area, but the entire cyst sac and all of its contents need to be removed to ensure the cyst won’t grow back!"

Thanks to Dr. Pimple Popper, there's an entertaining video and her patient won't have to worry about the "bomb" of a cyst ever coming back.
