Dr. Pepper Snapple fizzles on Q1, Anthem posts a beat, Google revamps Gmail, AMC CEO positive on company outlook

Here’s a look at some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you.

Dr. Pepper Snapple (DPS) tops our list. The drink maker fizzled on earnings, coming in roughly 17 cents below analysts’ expectations. It did however beat by a tiny margin on revenue.

Anthem (ANTM) earnings came in better than expected for its first quarter. The health insurance provider also beat on profit and raised its 2018 guidance. It did however report enrollment fell 2.5% from a year ago due to a reduced presence in the Affordable Care Act market.

Gmail’s biggest redesign in years is hitting many inboxes today. Google (GOOG) is launching features like email snoozing, nudging, and confidential mode on the email service. Company officials say safety and security were top priorities with this new update. Not all of Gmail’s 1.4B users will get the update today. Just click the “settings” button to see if you were picked to enable the changes.

“People’s heads will be spinning” when they see this year’s box office rebound. At least that’s what AMC (AMC) Cinemas CEO Adam Aron thinks. Aron told Bloomberg News that upcoming blockbusters like ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ will extinguish worries about the dying theater business. We’ll have to see if that rebound materializes. According to Comscore, North American box office sales are down 2.3% so far this year.
