Dove Cameron Says She Eats Brownies With Ranch Dressing

There are some foods that are just made to go together, like peanut butter and jelly, or Oreos with a glass of milk. Then, there are more questionable combinations, like brownies with ranch dressing. Yes, these two foods have actually been eaten together — by none other than Dove Cameron.

"When I was little, I discovered this life hack, and nobody’s going to believe me until they try it," she told Delish. "I would take brownies and make them into little balls and dip them in ranch."

If you're raising your eyebrows, Dove doesn't want you to knock it til you try it. "Don’t judge me! That sounds like the worst, most disgusting thing in the world, but it’s unbelievable. It’s unmatched," she said. "I don’t know how to make you trust me until you try it… I have to defend it! I’m like, ‘please trust me!’ That’s my one embarrassing food quirk."

Then, she endorsed yet another unusual food combination. "It’s the same kind of sensation as dipping your fries in shake," she explained. "It’s salty and sweet, and you’re just switching it around: The solid thing is sweet, and the thing you’re dipping it in is the salty thing."

It sounds like some of Dove's most loyal fans are willing to put their tastebuds on the line to figure out what she's talking about. "I'm making cookies and I'm gonna dip them in ranch," one fan pledged. Another explained: "I'm loyal, I must try brownies and ranch."

However, other people still aren't fully convinced. "Fries and shake.. mm ok," a fan wrote on Twitter, adding: "but brownie and ranch dressing is just extreme."

In the same interview, Dove also gushed about how much she loves her boyfriend Thomas Doherty's cooking. "He’s like the love of my life with that breakfast," she said. "He’ll also make a flax seed oatmeal with flax seeds, chia seeds. He’s like an Instagram chef. He’s over there putting some goji berries on top like, ‘you want some goji berries, baby?’ He’s the best."

Some of Dove's culinary mixes might cause a double-take, but she and Thomas are without a doubt a winning combo.
