Don’t Worry, Carter Sharer Struggles With TikTok Dances Too

From Cosmopolitan

We’re who-in-the-world-knows-anymore days into quarantine and although I haven’t cooked a buffet of foods or read more than 30 books, I *can* say I have perfected an impressive amount of TikTok dances. And social media star Carter Sharer decided he too was going to practice some of his TikTok moves with us because...what else is there to do?!

We started Carter off with a Tok classique: the Cannibal dance. If you’re a true fan, you’d know that the viral choreo is to Kesha’s hit song, “Cannibal.” Personally, I wouldn’t say it’s the hardest dance to learn—especially if a Teletubby can nail it, re: the video—so I had faith that Carter will be just fine getting it down in a minute! And my instincts were correct! (Sorta).

When he saw and practiced the second TikTok we gave him, he was very confident that he had it down. Considering the fact that it was really short and he only had to memorize some pretty basic moves. But he came in with a lil too much determination because his practice round ended up being better than his FINAL round. Ugh. TikTok dancing is a reaaaal sport, my friends.

Meanwhile, if you’re going to try and re-create ANYTHING dance-related that involves Charli D’Amelio, I’m sorry, but you’re low-key setting yourself up to go downhill. That girl is of her own kind when it comes to busting a move. And Carter realized just that when he could barely keep up with her while learning the dance to “Big Up’s,” by Jordyn & Nic Da Kid featuring Yung Nnelg. Charli. Is. Queen.

To end his TikTok Challenge Challenge extravaganza, Carter taught his own dance to “The Box,” by Roddy Rich. We recommend only trying it if you’re really...bendy.
