Donald Trump Jr.'s Girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend and top official for President Trump's re-election campaign, has tested positive for coronavirus.

Guilfoyle was diagnosed with COVID-19 ahead of Trump's Fourth of July celebration at Mount Rushmore on Friday (July 3) per The New York Times. She traveled to South Dakota with Don Jr. for the event, but not aboard Air Force One with the president, and reportedly has not had close contact with him since his rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma last month.

Despite not experiencing symptoms, Kimberly was screened for the virus as a routine precaution, before coming in proximity with POTUS at the event.

"After testing positive, Kimberly was immediately isolated to limit any exposure," campaign aide Sergio Gor said in a statement. "She’s doing well, and will be retested to ensure the diagnosis is correct since she’s asymptomatic but as a precaution will cancel all upcoming events."

Donald Jr.'s test results have come back negative, but is self-isolating and "canceling all public events" out an abundance of caution, according to Gor. The couple plans to drive back home together.

Kimberly is the third person within President Trump's inner circle known to have contracted COVID-19. In May, a personal valet who served the president his food and Vice President Mike Pence's press secretary both tested positive for the virus.
