Dolly Parton plans to be on the cover of Playboy again in honor of her 75th birthday

She may be in her golden years, but Dolly Parton is planning on making those years platinum. Parton turned 74 on January 19th, 2020, and she already has big plans for her 75th birthday. The icon recently said that she wants to make another appearance on the cover of Playboy magazine in celebration of her milestone, and we say, oh, absolutely.

“I don’t plan to retire,” Parton told 60 Minutes Australia in a recent interview. “I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again.”

“See,” she continued, “I did Playboy magazine years ago and I thought it’d be such a hoot if they’ll go for it—I don’t know if they will—if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”

Parton appeared on the cover of Playboy back in 1978. She flashed her famous smile while wearing the classic black bunny suit, matching ears, pink-sequined cuffs, and bowtie. Parton was the first country singer to appear on the cover of the magazine, and to the chagrin of many readers, she didn’t appear nude.

“I wouldn’t do a layout,” she once told a Chicago radio station, per Vintage News Daily. “I’m not that brave, nor do I look that good!”

So, if Dolly was to do another Playboy cover, would she wear that iconic bunny outfit?

“Maybe,” Parton told 60 Minutes Australia. “I could probably use it. Boobs are still the same!”

And it seems like Playboy is definitely on board. However, they’d like to make some changes. (Please and thank you.)

If Parton’s birthday wish comes true, she’d be the oldest woman to pose for Playboy‘s cover. Jane Seymour currently holds the title for her 2018 cover, when she was 67 years old. With a year to plan the iconic comeback, we certainly hope Playboy plays its cards right and books Dolly Parton for a cover shoot sooner than later.
