Good morning, friends, I'm Brad Schmitt, storytelling columnist for The Tennessean and one of millions who loves Dolly Parton.

Let's start with Vegas — Dolly said she loves "staying in some of the world's best hotels, eating free food, and trying to not order so much room service as a way to pass the time between my shows."

One Vegas dislike — "It's hot out there."

See more of what Dolly thinks about the Vegas gig, including hosting an awards show in front of 70,000 fans, right here.

And make sure you come back to tennessean.com next week for another Dolly interview. What's that one about? A fascinating new venture for her. And that's all I'm gonna tell you about that. (Top-rate teasing right there, folks. I feel a ginormous raise comin' on.)
