Dolce & Gabbana’s Male Models Were Glued to Their iPads on the Runway

Fashion’s love for social media is well documented and the torrid affair continued on the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2016 Men’s runway at the label’s cowboy-themed fashion show. The Italian fashion house opted for a quite literal interpretation of their Sicilian-Western theme, emblazoning their offerings with cacti, lassos, covered wagons, pistols – pretty much any prop you would have on the set of a western movie.

But it appears this collection was for the type of cowboy who is not ashamed of his own vanity. During the show, some of the models hit the runway carrying iPads (decorated with even more cowboy-related symbols), taking videos which were broadcasted on screens at the show, and turned into a short “movie” you can see on social media – that is if handsome men in expensive clothes is your thing.

This isn’t the first time Dolce & Gabbana has incorporated social media into their fashion shows. For their women’s Spring 2016 collection, the models also took selfies and videos down the runway, which were shared out on the label’s social media channels.
