Stranger Things's war between Hawkins and the Upside Down may have been formidable, but the battle for Joseph Quinn's DMs was greater. In what is now certainly my favorite beef of the young decade—nay, the century (or a prolonged hallucination induced by covering the biggest show on the planet, Stranger Things, for a week straight)—Doja Cat and Noah Schnapp just had it out. If you're unfamiliar, the former is a Grammy-winning artist, and the latter plays Will Byers in Stranger Things. Before we get to what's seemingly the resolution of the conflict, let's recap the saga.

Last week, Schnapp posted a now-deleted TikTok showing his DMs with Doja, where the rapper asked him about the relationship status of Quinn, who plays Eddie Munson in the Netflix series. Doja wrote, "Noah can u tell Joseph to hmu. wait no. does he have a gf?" Schnapp responded, "LMAOO slide into his dms," later sharing Quinn's Instagram. That's when Doja engaged in a bit of Vecna cosplay, speaking about the incident in a live Instagram video. "I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it and he went and shared information that I didn't feel comfortable with him sharing," she said, adding, "When you're that young, you make mistakes."

Now, since you've surely been holding your breath for a full week, Schapp seems to have put the drama to rest. In the description of a new TikTok posted by Schnapp—my ancient millennial brain won't even pretend to understand what's going on here, but it's soundtracked by a Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More"—he finally addressed the issue. "Guys everything is all good I apologized and I still follow her and love her music no hard feelings ❤️❤️," he wrote.

Good to see! Honestly, both players here were ever so slightly in the wrong, anyway. Schnapp should probably have kept his DMs in his DMs, where they're supposed to be. As for Doja, maybe the TikTok didn't deserve the livestream treatment. Joseph Quinn is a cool dude. Esquire can officially confirm that. Own it and message the guy! It's sweet! As for next steps, we'll be the first ones to update you if Doja responds to the comment.
