Dog's Funny Reaction to His New Snow Boots Is a Total Trip

The pup wasn't sure what to make of his new snow gear.

One of the .. umm.. joys of dog ownership is taking your pup out in below freezing temperatures or when it's sleeting or snowing or even raining cats and dogs for their daily walks. Okay, so it's definitely not a joy, and on occasion our dogs hate the nasty weather just as much as us pet parents do. Which is why we spend lots of money on bad-weather gear like sweaters and coats and boots for our canine companions.

Just ask Colleen Smith, who submitted the following video of her gorgeous black Lab Charlie to PetHelpful. Colleen was probably just trying to keep Charlie's paws warm in winter, but Charlie has definitely not understood this boot-walking assignment.

Sorry, but if our dog walked this hilariously in boots we would never take them off. We love how Charlie just clomps around having no idea what's on his feet. Sweet baby!

If you want to keep your dog's feetsies warm in bad weather, the trick to training your dog to wear shoes is through positive reinforcement, proper sizing and patience. Having a large supply of treats on hand doesn't hurt either!
