Dodgers woes continue as they lose Hyun-Jin Ryu to groin strain vs. Diamondbacks
The Los Angeles Dodgers added more bad news to their disappointing start to the season Wednesday when they lost starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu in the second inning of their matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The team later told reporters that he had suffered a left groin strain.

Ryu prompted a mound visit after an awkward delivery on a pitch to Deven Marrero and immediately left the game. He was off to an excellent start to his season, sporting a 2.22 ERA with 34 strikeouts and nine walks and a 3-0 record.
It’s the latest in string of key injuries for the Dodgers.
The team lost All-Star Corey Seager for the season to Tommy John surgery on Monday. Outfielder Yasiel Puig went on the disabled list with a bruised hip last week. Starting pitcher Rich Hill has missed time with a cracked, infected fingernail. And the team is still waiting for third baseman Justin Turner to return from a broken wrist suffered in spring training.
