Kelly Clarkson is known for speaking her mind. Whether she's getting real about her bad habits on The Voice or opening up about the struggles of motherhood, the country superstar rarely holds anything back from her fans. So when people started to notice her dramatic weight loss last year, Kelly was quick to share her secret: a book called The Plant Paradox.

The man behind the singer's go-to method, Dr. Steven R. Gundry, promotes a long-term diet which eliminates certain foods that he claims cause inflammation. Dr. Gundry's book supports the theory that lectins-a naturally occurring protein found in beans, legumes, whole grains, and some vegetables-are unsafe for humans to digest. He suggests removing those foods from one's diet and stresses the importance of picking healthy alternatives from his famous "yes list."

Kelly has explained that she first adopted Gundry's method because of her struggles with an autoimmune disease and a thyroid problem.

"I read this book, it's called The Plant Paradox, and it might not work for you but it worked wonders for me," she said during an interview on Today. "I'm, like, 37 pounds lighter. . . But for me, it wasn't really [about] the weight-for me it was that I'm not on my medicine anymore."

Though she's read the book (and continuously raves about it), Kelly has never actually met Gundry in person. But in a recent interview with Page Six, the doctor revealed that he's a huge fan of the singer.

"My wife and I were actually driving in the south of France when we got the word that Kelly Clarkson had come out that The Plant Paradox had changed her life...and we were actually listening to-she's on our playlist-we're listening to a Kelly Clarkson song," Gundry explained. "I'm a big fan of hers. I like her music and I would love to work with her. In fact, I guess she's got a new TV show coming out and I'd love to be her doctor on her TV show!"

Hey, Kelly-we found your next guest star!
