You Can DIY a Stunning, Rustic Bedside Table Using This Easy Cutting Board Hack
A rustic side table doesn’t have to take a $100 hit to your wallet. You can easily DIY one in less than 10 minutes using a wooden cutting board or serving platter.
The TikTok account @craftylumberjacks, which is run by Dennis and Andrew—“boyfriends, crafters, cat dads, HGTV contributors and creators” per the account bio—shared this super easy side table hack. They turned a tree trunk slice cutting board from Target into a table by simply screwing three hairpin legs into it!
This is the type of DIY for those who don’t want to put a lot of effort in but still want a little project to work on. In the end, you’ll have a gorgeous, functional decor piece and save money in the process. You can find the wooden latter on Amazon for about $18 (there are also plenty of other wood slab cutting boards in rectangle and round shapes on Etsy).
Amazon also has a ton of hairpin leg options with different sizes and colors, including a set of four 12-inch black legs for about $30. If hairpin legs aren’t your style, you can always go rouge with a different leg type. Once you have your supplies, all you do is secure your legs to your board and voilà—a brand new, custom side table!
