Want to give yourself a scare this Halloween season? Neither do we. And that’s why we love these DIY fright lights. Since you’re making them yourself, you get to see them from the raw materials stage, which really dampens their scare power. It’s like walking through a haunted house in broad daylight.

The main things you need for this creepy craft are latex gloves and a sharpie. It’s the perfect thing to do while you watch Corpse Bride in the background. Glow sticks have been highly underused this decade, so you’ll finally get to break those out, too. Enjoy your Halloween, and don’t forget to make a skele-TON of these fright lights.

DIY Fright Light

Materials:

Latex gloves
Permanent marker
Rubber bands
Glow pendants
Wooden dowel
Vase (with black spray paint, optional)
Electrical tape or other black tape

Instructions:

1. Blow up the latex glove and secure with a rubber band.
2. Draw skeleton bones and fill in the rest with black. You don’t have to mark the other side of the glove.
3. Remove the rubber band and insert 1-2 activated glow pendants. Blow up the glove again and secure the rubber band around the end of the pendants if you want the hand to stand straight up.
4. Cut a wooden dowel to the height of the vase. Using black tape, secure the wooden dowel to the end of the glove.
5. Place in the vase.
