Disney Plus & Hulu Cyber Monday Deals: Why Today Is Best To Cut The Cord

Have you been waiting for sales on streaming services? Hulu Cyber Monday deals? Disney Plus Cyber Monday deals? Your wish upon a star has been granted. Right now, among the many deals on menswear, home goods, and tech gadgets, some of our favorite ways to stream TV and movies are on offer for much less than usual.

The biggest streaming service discount available right now is on Hulu. Its supported plan, which gets you access to its library of originals and current seasons of network TV (The Good Place returns in January!) usually costs $6. The company has slashed that price by more than half. If you sign up today, each month of your first year will cost $2. That Hulu Cyber Monday deal will cumulatively save you $48, which you'll have to use as you please over the course of 2020. We'll toast to that.

Considering that it just came online last month, you might not have a Disney+ subscription yet. Currently, basic access to the deep catalog of Disney classics and its new originals (of varied quality) costs $6.99/a month. Access for year usually costs $70, but if you sign up today while the Disney Plus Cyber Monday deal is active, it'll cost $60. That works out to be about $5/a month. You'll save the price of ... uh ... half a latte? Whatever, it's still probably worth it if all the baby yoda memes have made you yearn for The Mandalorian.

To the surprise of no one, a gift membership to Amazon Prime is also on sale this Cyber Monday (if you already have Amazon Prime). The company's 10% discount is small, but it gives your giftee (or yourself, if you're willing to do some email shuffling) access to the company's catalog of movies and TV shows on Prime video for about $10 less than usual.

Some of our favorite streaming gear is also on sale right now. After using streaming devices from tons of companies over the last few years, we strongly prefer the interface of everything made by Roku to anything else. It's the most responsive, easiest to navigate, and platform neutral (meaning you shouldn't have to worry about a spat between Google and Amazon leading to the app you use most being unlisted from your service). Luckily, there are a few Roku TV Cyber Monday deals out there in the ether worth shopping. For example, the Roku Premiere+ 4K streaming stick is currently on sale for $30 (30% less than usual).

Roku also recently released a soundbar with its software built-in. We've found it to be the simplest way to immediately improve the sound of your TV. It usually costs $180, which makes it far cheaper than similar soundbars of its quality, but it's currently selling for $150. That extra $30 will go pretty far during some of these menswear sales.
