When I was growing up, my devious older brother liked to torture me by talking about Christmas in the middle of summer. He would describe the Christmas tree, ask about presents that Santa would bring, daydream about candy canes and gingerbread houses, and Christmas stockings hung by the chimney with care. And I would end up miserably hoping that St. Nick was on his way—even though it was the middle of summer. If I had been lucky enough to live near Walt Disney World, I could have scratched my poorly-timed Christmas itch by visiting Disney’s Days of Christmas store, where it’s Christmas every day.
It’s easy-to-spot the store at the Disney Springs Marketplace as the outside is an explosion of everyone’s two favorite things—Disney and Christmas. There are wreaths and Christmas lights and candy cane-stripes and that’s before you even step in the door. Inside, it’s a winter wonderland in the middle of Florida. There are keepsake ornaments to commemorate your trip, red and white stockings, and Disney advent calendars for counting down the days to Christmas. There’s plenty of Disney-themed holiday décor, Mickey Mouse-shaped Christmas tree ornaments, Mickey Mouse nutcrackers and little drummer boys, and statuettes of Minnie dolled up like Mrs. Claus.

Naturally, Mickey and Minnie take center stage, but there are plenty of goodies from other Disney films too, like Nightmare Before Christmas and Toy Story, and other characters including Tinkerbell and Goofy and so many more. There are snow globes, and ornaments and snow-globe ornaments, and everything else that a Christmas lover needs to deck the halls in true Disney style. The whole shop is filled with gifts and gadgets and Christmas joy that it could rival Santa’s workshop. One trip to the shop and you’ll be filled with Christmas spirit — even in July.
