Did Sarah Jessica Parker Put Her Hair in Her Purse After the Globes?

Raise your hand if you’ve dedicated hours to getting all dolled up for a fancy fete — but you’re so tired of wearing those spiky heels, a full face of makeup, heavy earrings, and a perfect ’do by the end of the event that you shed them all before continuing the night in comfort. C’mon, admit it, we’ve all been there, no? Well, Sarah Jessica Parker certainly has.

On Sunday, SJP’s Princess Leia-like braided ’do, created from a pair of fishtail-braid extensions, made for an unforgettable hair moment at the 2017 Golden Globes — but also one Parker couldn’t wait to shed, apparently, as she slipped it off before continuing on for some late-night food, and possibly even removed it before she got home, squeezing it into her tiny purse.

“Home. Contents of purse and contents on head and hands. And in ears. Time for a burger and a Moscow mule. X, sj,” the star shared on Instagram.

Were the braids in her purse? Or just the clips? It’s unclear, although most likely the latter, as the clutch also contained her Laura Mercier makeup, breath mints, jewels, gum, and a BlackBerry (!). So while the 51-year-old’s huge milkmaid braid got everyone talking, we can’t help but wonder: Was it heavy? Or just uncomfortable?

Maybe Parker will talk the creator of her look, hairstylist Serge Normant, into popping the pieces back on for a future awards show? In any event, hats (and hair) off to this starlet for showing us a side of herself that most people can relate to.
