Former Playboy model Christina Carlin-Kraft was found strangled to death in her Philadelphia area condo Wednesday.
Carlin-Kraft was found dead in her home around 9:15 p.m. after police performed a wellness check following the burglary of her home on Saturday, The Inquirer reports. Sources told NBC 10 that she may have been killed as early as Tuesday.
The Montgomery County Coroner's Office performed an autopsy and confirmed her death a homicide by "ligature strangulation," meaning she was strangled to death with a cord-like object, such as a rope.
Andre Melton, 31, is suspected of burglarizing Carlin-Kraft's home and is being sought by police, according to ABC 6. It is unclear if the burglary is related to the 36-year-old model's death and Melton hasn't been named a suspect in her murder. A motive has not been released.
Police obtained surveillance footage that showed a man leaving Carlin-Kraft's second-floor home Saturday morning with bags that were reportedly stolen from her. More footage from Wednesday reveals a man entering Carlin-Kraft's condominium but he is not seen leaving. Police believe he may have leaped from the balcony.
Neighbors said Carlin-Kraft had just moved into the condo, which is owned by her boyfriend, a week prior to her death.
"There does not appear to be any current concern for residents in the area," Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Lower Merion Township Police Superintendent Michael J. McGrath said in a statement regarding the investigation.

"How this happened and why is something our family wants to know," Carlin-Kraft's aunt, Angelique Carlin, said.
An unnamed relative told The Inquirer that her death was "completely unexpected."
"We never thought this could happen," the relative said, adding that Carlin-Kraft could light up any room she was in.
According to her profile on a modeling website, Carlin-Kraft modeling credits include Maxim Magazine, Vanity Fair, Playboy, MAC Cosmetics, and Victoria's Secret.
"I really do enjoy photo shoots for swim wear and tastefull (sic) lingerie," she wrote on the same website.
"She was just delightful, the sweetest person," said a friend who asked to remain anonymous. "The whole thing is just shocking."
Carlin-Kraft had reportedly been charged with misdemeanor charges of assault, attempted assault, and harassment for hitting a waiter and kicking him the groin at a Manhattan restaurant in 2016. The charges were later dropped, according to the New York Post.
"She was a nice person, and I'm not just speaking good of the dead," said Dan Ollen, the lawyer who represented Carlin-Kraft regarding the altercation.
