Serena and Venus Williams suffered their first Olympic loss in doubles yesterday, and while we’re certainly upset about it, we couldn’t help but notice their fierce and winning looks. The sisters, who went into the match with a 15-0 Olympic career record, showed up with their hair and manicure game on point — reminding us all that the women are bosses both on and off the court. Venus rocked her red braids in a bun, while Serena sported a mid pony with an American flag scrunchie, complete with patriotic nails.

Although the loss was shocking for the pair, Serena sounded confident in a post-match conference. “We have a chance to compete for our country and did the best that we can,” she said. “We had a blast out there.” And by the celebratory looks of both of them, that’s definitely the truth.
