The end of year has been really bittersweet for students across the country who have had to say goodbye to their teachers, classmates, and teammates on Zoom. For many students, it’s been months since they actually stepped foot in a classroom and many struggled with the virtual learning format. The end of the school year is usually a time to celebrate and those final days of school are filled with fun and special games and events, but, at most schools, things look a lot different with final classes taking place online. Understandably, many students are pretty bummed. But some of the amazing cast members of Disney’s Descendants found a way to fix that for some very lucky students this year.

On June 22, Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson dropped dropped in on a Zoom cast reunion to surprise the Leavenworth High Theatre Class. It was the first time the cast got together since they performed the pilot production of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical earlier this year. Dove and Sofia gave the students some great advice and words of encouragement during the call. At the end, the cast sang their theatre version and a touching rendition of “Space Between.”

FYI: The “Disney’s Descendants: The Musical” is available on www.mtishows.com now, and you can watch Descendants on Disney Channel.

And that wasn’t the only surprise. Earlier this month, Descendants star Sarah Jeffery surprised a first grade class at Bedwell Elementary School in New Jersey on Zoom during their last week of distance learning. She heard the class was a big fan of Descendants and struggling with the new distance learning format. She congratulated them on doing their very best in school, stuck around for some fun questions and wished them a happy summer. The kids loved it!
